Ahmed Al Fateh, known as Ahmed the Conqueror, was the founder of modern Bahrain’s ruling dynasty, the Al Khalifa family. In 1783, he led his forces to victory over Persian control of Bahrain, establishing Al Khalifa rule in the region. His leadership was characterized by strategic governance, balancing tribal interests with diplomatic relations with neighboring powers. Ahmed Al Fateh laid the groundwork for Bahrain’s administrative structures and ensured the protection of trade routes, which were vital to the economic prosperity of the region.
