Al-Adil I, also known as Saif al-Din Abu Bakr, was the brother of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi and played a key role in consolidating the Ayyubid Sultanate after its establishment. He served as a trusted military commander under Saladin during the Crusades and later became Sultan, ruling over Egypt and Syria. Through his administrative skills and diplomatic acumen, Al-Adil negotiated truces with Crusader states while strengthening internal governance. He maintained stability in the Ayyubid realm and expanded its influence through strategic alliances and military campaigns.
