Al-Aziz Billah was the fifth caliph of the Fatimid Caliphate, ruling from 975 to 996 CE. His tenure marked a period of territorial consolidation and administrative reform. Al-Aziz strengthened Fatimid authority in Egypt and expanded influence in the Levant, while fostering economic prosperity through trade and infrastructure development. He promoted religious tolerance, maintaining good relations with non-Muslim communities, including Christians and Jews, who were prominent in his administration.
