Al-Mustansir Billah المستنصر بالله

Al-Mustansir Billah was the eighth Fatimid caliph and one of the longest-reigning Muslim rulers in history, ruling from 1036 to 1094 CE. His reign marked both the zenith and the beginning of significant challenges for the Fatimid Caliphate. Under his rule, Cairo flourished as a key center of trade, learning, and culture, with notable advancements in architecture and the arts. However, his era also saw internal strife, including factional conflicts within the military and periods of economic hardship caused by famine and political instability.
