Ali Barid Shah I علي بريد شاه الأول

Ali Barid Shah I was the third ruler of the Barid Shahi dynasty in Bidar. Known for his patronage of Persian and Deccani literature, he cultivated a court that became a hub for poets, artists, and scholars. Politically, his reign was marked by efforts to maintain autonomy amidst the shifting alliances and rivalries of the Deccan Sultanates. He actively engaged in diplomacy and, at times, military campaigns to secure Bidar's position in the region. His reign also saw significant architectural contributions, including the development of gardens and palaces that reflected Persianate and Deccani styles.
